The Kirkland Concert Band was formed in 1984 and has a rich and varied history in the world of MONTREAL community wind ensembles. Stemming from a Rosemere High School adult education music course in the 1970s, the Northshore Concert Band was created in 1981. In 1984 that band became sponsored by the city of Kirkland, Quebec and moved to the West Island of Montreal changing its name to the Kirkland Concert Band.

40 years later (2024), the Kirkland Concert Band is going strong as a place for experienced musicians to play and as an ensemble providing musical entertainment and joy to the citizens of Kirkland, Quebec and the surrounding Montreal area. Our experienced musicians range from amateurs to semi-professionals who love to play their instrument(s), practice together, and perform for the community.
