In Memoriam

Malcolm McCambridge, 1929 – 2025

Mac was a large part of Montreal’s music scene from the 1940’s to 2022 playing in numerous jazz bands and concert bands including the KCB.

He played saxophone, clarinet, flute and also piano.  When he was younger he played weekend night gigs at dance clubs with a small band, on top of his day job as an engineer.

Music brought a lot of joy to Mac’s life. He generously shared that joy with his many anecdotes. We particularly enjoyed his sense of humour. It was a pleasure to have known him and shared in his joy of life. We remember him tonight with our music.

Jacques Girardin, 1940-2024

Jacques was an active member of the clarinet section and he also did a lot for KCB in the way of acquiring concerts for the band.  He was outgoing and not afraid to call and visit venues on behalf of KCB.  Thanks to him, we gave many great concerts. He will be missed.
